Ketting met hanger - Alphonse Augis - circa 1950

For sale is this "Plus qu'hier et moins que demain" love token. This love medallion of all love medallions was first created by the famous Lyon jeweller Alphonse Augis. He based this loving text on a poem of Parisian Rosemand Gérard. She wrote the poem in 1890 for her husband.

This vintage pendant is crafted in 18 ct yellow gold and is in-scripted with 'A. A' referring to the "inventor" of these stunning tokens. The plus on this charm is set with a small single cut diamond, the minus with three sparkling red baguette cut rubies. They provide the perfect amount of colour to this wonderful charm with texture background. On top of that, this beauty is hallmarked with a makers-mark of Alphonse Augis and a French eagle head.
