Modbus RTU distribution box with 6 channels. Both the 24 VDC supply voltage and the Modbus RTU communication are distributed over the 6 RJ45 connectors. MDB-M/6 is compatible with Sentera sensors, sensor controllers, HVAC controllers and speed controllers with Modbus RTU communication.

What it does
This Power over Modbus connection or distribution box is used to distribute Modbus RTU communication data and 24 VDC between Sentera devices . It combines power distribution and Modbus communication in a single enclosure, simplifying wiring and installation in environments where both power and Modbus communication are required.Six RJ45 Connections
The junction box contains 6 connections for connecting connectors to distribute electrical power to connected devices, such as Sentera's sensors, actuators or controllers designed for low-voltage DC often used in industrial environments.
It also allows the connected Modbus devices within the network to communicate with a Modbus master or other devices.
The 6 cable glands safely guide and protect the cables. This is especially important in industrial environments where cables are exposed to mechanical stress and harsh conditions.

The enclosure of the MDB-M-6 is made of r-ABS VO (UL94) plastic . This material is known for its flame retardant properties. high IP rating of the enclosure and protect the connections from impacts or adverse environmental conditions such as dust or high humidity, we recommend inserting the cables through the cable glands of the box and only then crimping them, rather than using the factory-crimped cables with molded RJ45 connectors (which will also work, but require the cable glands to be removed first and would complicate the process). After inserting the crimped cables into the RJ45 sockets, tighten the glands to prevent any particles or water from entering. Once switched on, the green LED on the left side of each of the six sockets will light up green by default to indicate that voltage has been detected.
