Intelligent ventilation is only possible if you combine multiple measured values in one intelligent sensor. With the FCVCG from Sentera, temperature, relative humidity and TVOC (volatile organic compounds) are intelligently combined into one control signal for your fan, valve drive or air handling unit. In addition, you can connect this device to both 24 VAC and 24 VDC. If you combine the output signal with one of the Sentera speed controllers or frequency converters, you can also control AC motors. And if you finally integrate the sensors into a Sentera network, you can monitor or control your entire home, business building or school.

Well, we have good news: the intelligent FCVC sensor from Sentera can combine different measured values into one combined measurement result. Like all intelligent room sensors from Sentera, it is equipped with a built-in temperature and relative humidity sensor. But on top of that, the FCVC also has a built-in TVOC sensor element. Volatile organic compounds (
VOCs) are a large group of chemicals found in many of the products we use to build and maintain our homes and buildings. Once inside a building, they are released or evaporate into the indoor air we breathe. Common examples of VOCs found in our daily lives include: benzene, xylene, ethylene glycol, formaldehyde, and methylene chloride. Common sources include paints or varnishes, new carpets, adhesives, cleaning products, smoking, dry cleaning, photocopiers, building materials such as foam, and burning wood. The risk of health problems from inhaling a chemical depends on the exact chemical compound, the concentration, and the length of exposure. Breathing in low levels of VOCs over an extended period of time may increase the risk of health problems for some people, especially those with asthma or those who are particularly sensitive to chemicals. Since VOCs refer to a group of chemicals, each of them has its own toxicity and potential to cause different health effects. Inhaling high levels of VOCs is known to cause eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches, drowsiness, nausea, impaired concentration and fatigue Three-wire connection
This sensor is available in different versions depending on the required power supply. This FCVCG version can be connected with three wires. This is very useful as a replacement in existing installations.
Additional light sensor
The Sentera room sensors are already equipped with a light sensor that measures the ambient light. You can save and retrieve the measured values. And in later, or existing Modbus-compatible, applications you will even be able to adapt the algorithm according to the ambient light .Permanent visual controlThanks to the integrated dimmable LEDs, you can see at a glance whether the measured value is acceptable (green LED), or whether it is in the warning zone (yellow LED) or even in the danger zone (red LED). This sensor does not require any configuration. Once installed, it is ready to use. The default settings are sufficient for most applications. If necessary, the settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU. For example, a different output type can be selected to make it compatible with other devices: 0-10 VDC / 0-20 mA / 0-100 % PWM / Modbus RTU. The light intensity of the LEDs for status indication is also adjustable. The Modbus register map provides a complete overview of all adjustable settings.Everything in proportion
You determine the proportions between the different measured values. By this we mean that you determine whether and to what extent the different measured values weigh in the final result. In this instructional video you can see how that works. You can also switch them off. So if you want, for example, only the humidity measurement and VOC to be taken into account, but not the temperature, then that can be perfectly set via Modbus RTU.
