The DSTHG channel sensor, suitable for 24 VAC or VDC power supply, measures temperature and relative humidity. It has a separate output for each of these measured values. You can use it as a transmitter to pass on the measured values to a building management system, but if you want to control proportionally, you can of course also use it as a controller. The housing is designed in such a way that it fits perfectly over a 68 mm flush-mounted box. This allows the cabling to be neatly concealed. It also has an integrated light sensor and requires 18 to 34 VDC or 15 to 24 VAC power supply, and for the output you can choose between 0 - 10 VDC / 0 - 20 mA / PWM. As always with the new generation of Sentera sensors, this sensor is equipped with Modbus RTU communication.
Temperature and humidity measurement together in 1 sensorThe most important comfort parameters for a pleasant feeling indoors are temperature and relative humidity. With this sensor, both parameters are measured and for each of these values it has a separate analogue output available. In addition, it calculates the dew point, which can be read out from a Modbus register, just like the measured values. For both temperature and relative humidity you can determine the range within which the output signal moves proportionally. This signal can then be used, for example, as a signal input for an air handling unit or controller. Easy to use! This sensor does not need to be configured . Once installed, it is ready to use. The default settings are sufficient for most applications. If necessary, the settings can be adjusted via Modbus RTU communication. For example, a different output type can be selected to make the sensor compatible with existing devices: 0-10 VDC / 0-20 mA / 0-100 % PWM. The Modbus register map provides a complete overview of all adjustable settings.
Three-wire connection
The DSTH sensor is available in different versions depending on the required power supply. This DSTHG version can be connected with three wires and is suitable for both a 24 VDC and 24 VAC power supply. This is very useful as a replacement in existing installations. The GND terminal of the power supply voltage and the GND terminals of the analog outputs are connected via the printed circuit board. This allows the sensor to be connected with three wires (in the case of a 24 VAC power supply it MUST of course be connected with three wires).
Air Ducts
The housing is optimized for temperature and humidity measurements in air ducts . It offers IP54 protection against the ingress of dust and moisture. If desired, the supplied flexible lens can be used as an aid for an airtight seal. The sensor element is built into the probe of the duct sensor. This probe is provided with an opening so that there is direct contact between the air flow and the sensor element. The sensor probe offers IP20 protection.
