Temperature probe with molded cable, stainless steel housing 53 * 8 mm, NTC 3,000 Ohm, with 1 meter UTP cable (2x 0.5 mm²).

How does it work?
This temperature probe measures the ambient temperature via a platinum element (PT500). This sensor element has an electrical resistance of 3000 ohms at 0 °C. It has a negative temperature coefficient. This means that the resistance decreases as the ambient temperature increases. Any device with an input for 'NTC3000 passive temperature sensors' can read out the measured temperature. How to connect?
This temperature sensor is supplied with a cast cable. This unshielded 2-core cable has a length of 1 meter. The wires have a cross-section of 0.5 mm². If necessary, this cable can be extended. The longer the cable length, the greater the influence of the resistance of the cable on the reading of the measurement. This sensor does not require a separate power supply. The platinum sensing element is resin encapsulated in a stainless steel sleeve (53 x 8 mm). This provides IP65 protection against ingress of dirt and water.
