Even though a passive temperature element such as a PT500 is one of the most basic building blocks that is used almost everywhere in HVAC, we find it important to be able to offer it in different versions. Including versions for indoor use, versions with flying lead and also this DUTSN. This is suitable for air ducts. Both round (in that case use the supplied flexible flange) and rectangular. It is also equipped with a handy 3-pole terminal block on which you can easily attach wires up to 1.5 mm².

How does it work?
This temperature sensor measures the ambient temperature via a platinum element (PT100). This sensor element has an electrical resistance of 100 ohms at 0 ° C. It has a positive temperature coefficient. This means that the resistance increases as the ambient temperature increases. Any HVAC device with an input for PT100 'passive temperature sensors' can read the measured temperature. How to connect?
The plantinum temperature sensor element can be connected via a shielded 2-core cable. The cable can be connected via the terminal block with screws. This terminal block is suitable for cables with a maximum cross-section of 1.5 mm². We recommend keeping the cable length limited. The longer the cable length, the greater the influence of the cable resistance on the measurement reading. This sensor does not require a separate power supply.Designed for use in air ducts
The housing fits perfectly in air ducts. With the use of the flexible flange for round air ducts, or without the flange for rectangular air ducts. The DUTSN sensors have an IP54 protection degree against the ingress of dust and moisture.
