Technics - SL-2000 - 2-Speed Direct Drive Platenspeler

This Technics SL-2000 direct-drive turntable is in great shape. It was serviced in February 2024 and comes with an Ortofon Concorde STD cartridge with original Ortofon stylus in very good condition. The turntable looks slick, is easy to operate, and is fully functional. The SL-2000 is a two-speed (33 rpm & 45 rpm) turntable with convenient speed (pitch) control knobs for both speeds. This allows a 10% adjustment range to let your records run slower or faster. During servicing all contacts and moving parts were cleaned and the unit was speed calibrated. It runs very stable and perfectly on speed on both 33 rpm and 45 rpm. The dustcover feels smooth and looks clear while it shows light marks and handling signs. Both original hinges let the lid stand firmly opened in a range of different positions. The black base is in very good shape. Included is the Ortofon Concorde STD cartridge with original Ortofon bonded elliptical needle. The Ortofon Concorde STD is geared towards HifI use and delivers a solid sound with a forward bass and crisp treble, and an overall balance biased towards the bass. Dynamics, clarity and detail are impressive.
