With the E70 Velvet, Topping offers a new version of the excellent E70 DAC featuring the new AK4499EX high-end digital-to-analog conversion chip from AKM. For the rest, it takes the excellent technical basis of its elder brother, combining a careful design and high-end components for exceptional sound performance with smart and practical features, such as Bluetooth, a 12V trigger or an adaptable output level.


AKM AK4499EX DAC
The Topping E70 Velvet embeds within its digital/analog conversion stage the brand new DAC chip from AKM, the AK4499EX, the new flagship of the manufacturer. This converter benefits from a switched resistor architecture using the proprietary VelvetSound technology. It uses the latest high quality conversion technologies to provide the most vivid and realistic sound reproduction possible.


A state-of-the-art I/V conversion circuit
The E70 Velvet uses the excellent I/V conversion circuitry implemented by its big brother. It is designed to ensure low distortion and low noise, while taking up less space. It is here pushed to its limits to allow the DAC to reveal its full potential.

Bluetooth 5.1
Equipped with a Qualcomm QCC5125 Bluetooth 5.1 receiver chip, the E70 Velvet lets you stream your music remotely directly from your smartphone or tablet. It also supports the high-resolution transmission codecs aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive and LDAC, guaranteeing high-quality playback over Bluetooth. In addition, the E70 Velvet bypasses the conversion stage of the Bluetooth receiver to use the much more powerful AK4499EX DAC in order to provide the most faithful sound reproduction possible.

XMOS XU316 USB Interface
The USB input of the Topping E70 Velvet is associated with a latest generation XMOS XU316 interface with custom Thesycon driver. This powerful interface supports high resolution audio streams, up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512, for a very high quality listening.


Selectable output modes
The E70 Velvet provides balanced XLR and single-ended RCA output. The input is selectable and allows to activate only one or both simultaneously. Moreover, Topping offers a smart feature, allowing you to adjust the level of these outputs according to your use and the desired integration. Thus, the level of the XLR output can be changed from 4V to 5V and the RCA output from 2V to 2.5V.
